The 1991 Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves film featured an American lead role Kevin Costner and a very talented English cast including the most villainous Alan Hickman as the Sheriff of Nottingham. The music score was conducted by none other than award-winning Michael Kamen. The movie’s theme song, Everything I Do by singer Bryan Adams catapulted his name to record hit charts.

This ongoing English TV drama three series of Robin Hood with lead star role Jason Armstrong by BBC is a more serious depiction of the tale centering on their struggles in ousting the corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham.
Another retelling of Robin Hood in an epic scale is going to be released this May 14th 2010, starring big stars Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett under the award-winning director Ridley Scott. This fifth mega-movie installation has a powerful cast and hopefully it is expected to give justice to the man that became a legend.
